The team is amazing and has beautiful people that really makes the difference. The workload is good, nothing crazy, and you can work from anywhere in the world. They recognize Colombian holidays even when most of the clients are US-based so that's nice.

Upper management is insanely bad. They're completely disconnected from the reality of the company and make arbitrary decisions (mostly budget-related) that affect our financial status and work environment. Wages are really low, especially for video editors, getting a raise is almost impossible, and the CEO says they don't approve more raises because this is an entry-level company. However, they ask us to deliver senior-level results and take part in different activities other than editing, even when we don't have a permanent contract. We're all contractors. They don't give you a computer, the Adobe subscription or money for your internet. And any tool upgrade you need to make is on you. They treat you like a freelancer but demand that you work on a schedule and pay your own social security. Recently they lowered some people's salaries saying "they're taking a broader approach to their compensation". They clearly don't know how to plan or manage throughout the year because they tend to hire a bunch of people when we have a lot of clients, but then some clients cancel, which is normal, and they lay off people in big batches, saying they have "poor performance" so they don't have to pay severance. It's a real bummer because the talent in the company is huge and the people are incredible.
