I loved working here! The people were great, the tasks where challenging and the leadership really inspired you. I built allot of good friendships here and felt like my skill set really grew. You are given allot of responsibility and trust in getting things done. This is an R&D place so you will be wearing a lot of hats to get things done.

I have NEVER seen a company so ready to lay people off. And when they do there is no heads up. The engineer or manager finds out day of. I have seen Engineers that have just started and within 2 months they are gone. When I ask about what happened I would get weird answers like, “They just were not happy here.” Or “They have taken another opportunity.” It just feels dirty. Last summer we had a meeting with the CEO of the company about how bonuses and raises will be based on performance. And performance to receive a raise would be the equivalent of working 50-60 hours a week. These were to salary employees that do not get paid overtime. They ‘understood’ that this is a hard sacrifice for our families but that our family time would ‘improve’ because we would have less time with them. I spoke with an engineer afterwards that was a bit stressed because he felt like they were asking him to “live to work instead of work to live”. He was gone within a week. For me, five weeks before my layoff I was talking to our Chief Technology Engineer about opportunities for me going to salary in the company. One Friday at 8:00 I get a calendar invite for a meeting with HR at 11:00 called “Reorganization”. That was it. I was out of the office by 2:00. No lead time to hand over things to the other engineers. Nothing. Just a “I wish we were meeting on better circumstances”.
