The leadership team at the organization has gone through a series of challenges, primarily due to the behavior of the CEO, Max. He is driven by personal ambition and a desire for success, rather than a genuine passion for the company's mission or a commitment to problem-solving. Despite his attempts to reshuffle the leadership team, the company continues to face difficulties, with high turnover among key employees. In particular, Max's behavior towards the much younger lead data scientist, Joe, was particularly damaging, as he engaged in petty conflicts that caused a breakdown in their working relationship and ultimately resulted in the departure of this valuable team member. It seemed Max was threatened by Joe’s seemingly higher level of respect within the company and Joe's interest in having more say in the direction of the company.
