I can't afford the health benefits. It seems they do not pay healthcare premiums meaning the employee has to cover thousands of dollars per month for their family if they want healthcare. For a family of three the monthly insurance started at 1.7k - 7k per month.

You cannot work here as a contractor in hopes of saving for retiring. Unless you take a contract position part-time while you work full time elsewhere.
