Minpunten
My experience working here was hard, largely due to a lack of inclusivity and growth opportunities. There seems to be limited understanding of international markets, and little willingness from leadership to adapt or engage with different work cultures. Career progression also feels uneven. Advancement opportunities appear restricted, particularly for non-Brazilian employees, which creates an environment that doesn’t feel fair or based on merit. Another concern is the lack of empathy from management. For example, when employees requested unpaid leave to visit their home countries, the response from the regional manager was dismissive, implying that employees had chosen to be in the UK and should not expect flexibility. This approach feels out of touch with the realities of an international workforce. Additionally, the company operates with a very small team but expects constant availability, which can quickly lead to burnout. There is also a noticeable gap in coordination between the marketing and operations teams, which affects overall efficiency and execution. Most of the marketing and operations teams are based in Brazil and mainly speak Portuguese. Because of this, communication often happens in Portuguese to make things faster. As a result, Brazilian team members tend to receive information more quickly and more regularly. Non-Portuguese speaking employees can sometimes miss updates or feel less included in day-to-day communication. This creates an imbalance in how information is shared across the team. Overall, the workplace culture and management approach make it difficult to feel supported or see a long-term future here.
