I have never worked anywhere that caused more personal anxiety and job insecurity than Filevine. I would never recommend anyone work there. The pitch they use to get you in the door is a total illusion. They talk about how awesome their culture is and show off their fun, eclectic office space. When you get in you realize everyone is miserable and morale is at rock bottom. There are a lot of amazing people working there, but most of the people I interacted with are not happy and don't feel valued. Management creates (and encourages) toxicity that permeates throughout the workplace leading to constant gossip and a cutthroat, every-man-for-himself culture. The daily grind is centered around commands that come down from the top and everyone below scrambling to try to make it happen, regardless of how ridiculous they are. There is so much focus on coming out with new features to upsell everyone, but very little effort, if any, is put into improving platform stability, customer support, and employee satisfaction. In summary, here are a few of the many cons: - Employees are treated as disposable - High employee turnover (short tenure) - Unclear expectations from management - Cutthroat politics - Strange and ever-changing org structure - Inconsistent in-office/remote expectations - Overall unhappy, toxic culture

The culture felt extremely toxic, with leadership often creating an environment driven by fear, favoritism, and constant pressure rather than support and development. Leadership and executives are in it only for themselves. Work-life balance was virtually nonexistent. Employees were regularly expected to work holidays, often staying until 10 or 11 PM with little appreciation or recognition for the sacrifice. Long hours became the expectation rather than the exception. I was also disappointed by how customers were treated. There was often a significant disconnect between what was promised and what was actually delivered, and many decisions seemed focused on short-term gains instead of creating a positive customer experience. Behind the scenes, there were practices and conversations that made me uncomfortable and did not align with the level of transparency and professionalism I would expect from a company. The turnover was high, morale was low, and many employees seemed burned out. While there are some good people working there, the overall environment made it difficult to feel valued or optimistic about the future.
