Minpunten
It's difficult to share this feedback, knowing that, in some cases, it may be met with defensiveness rather than reflection. Too often the attention centers on who wrote the message instead of what the message is trying to convey. 1. The company speaks of "psychological safety" — but what actually exists is a fear-driven environment where leadership uses intimidation and emotional manipulation to enforce obedience. During Feedback Sessions an Executive will easily try to emotionally manipulate you while showing their power. Instead of leading by example, an executive would use phrases like, “The way I treat you is not how you should treat your direct reports.” This culture erodes trust and creates silent compliance, not collaboration. Recently a Escalation Process got established, which is the same process as before, there is no independent last step. Instead , the executives review each case themselves, which makes it difficult to raise concerns about the same executives through the process. This is a conflict of interest. 2. Weekly check-ins, especially with management, became sessions of public humiliation — often diving deep into decisions just to find a weak point to criticize. ‘Feedback’ would be the following:“you’re doing a bad job as a PM” with no constructive direction or coaching. 2. Employees who avoid questioning flawed directions are favored. Those who raise valid concerns are gaslighted and labeled “difficult.” I witnessed myself how voicing concerns can be met with fear tactics while agreeing would be rewarded. This double standard is demoralizing and undermines professional integrity. 4. 8 Projects, 12 clients, more than 26 direct reports, Sales Initiatives, Recruitment efforts, With the projects needing Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner and other Hats. The workload eventually became unsustainable. When a project didn’t show immediate results (sometimes due to gaps in planning or misalignment at different levels) the responsibility often fell on individuals, rather than being addressed as a shared challenge with leadership support.
