Minpunten
. "training" was a disaster, I was present at a time of a huge rush, and i was only trained for 3 hours, after that i was expected to know absolutely everything including rules and regulations i was never even told about. . there was no asking for help, if you asked for help you were treated like an idiot not to mention humiliated in front of the whole crew. . i learned how to do everything for myself from then on. . They will schedule you 3 days out of the week and put you on call for 4, so you basically cant relax at all all week in case they call you, if they call you and for some reason you cant come, expect for the m to cut your hours tremendously, i have even been there when a girl couldn't come in and they were taking about how they were going to cut her hours. I even was there to see my manager give one of the girls job references a bad rap saying she never came in when they'd call her. . the amount of work expected from you is ridiculous, they expect the cashiers to do everything. you have to work at the register, work on the buns when you're not working on the register or you're in the lobby constantly cleaning peanuts off the floor. it sounds easy enough and it is, but the worst part is they are constantly pushing you to be faster and faster. When you get a rush and 60 people all pile in at one time, you can pretty much guarantee they're all going to be leaving at the same time. and it is a big mess. you alone, are expected to clean up (wipe and dry!) 10 tables sweep the floors, take the full trash out to the back to empty them, restock everything perfectly, and wipe the windows, all by yourself. if that wasn't bad enough you have your manager up front saying you're too slow and pretty much humiliating you and belittling you in front of the entire crew talking about how being as cashier is "so easy". OH AND you BETTER NOT forget to check the bathrooms on your way in and your way out of the lobby because "They're Watching YOU on the cameras". you the one cashier (-- the other cashier is being "punished" and her scheduling has been cut from the schedule) are expected to clean all of that mess AND watch out for more customers that are walking in as you are cleaning. That requires you to grab your wiping rag, and your drying rag, and your broom and your dust pan and run back (on extremely really slippery floors) all the way around back to the front, wash your hands and greet the customer. . i made the mistake of asking for more hours and i ended up working 18 days in a row, and i barely made 40 hours in two weeks! . the managers are only nice to you when they want something and if you don't give in to it then you be sure there are repercussions. Our store has been getting a lot of slack for being one of the worst selling in the area, so now even the store managers and our managers boss have been coming in hovering and telling you everything that you're doing that is not absolutely perfect. They are trying to find someone to blame other than maybe looking at their own mistakes, like building another Five Guys 10 miles within this one. I mean i didn't even know what Five Guys was until i started job hunting around. They better do something fast about this NO RESPECT to any of the employers because everyone in the store is quitting.( i wonder why?...) I'm honestly hoping to god five guys has some undercover boss thing and sees what the deal is.. or maybe they really just don't care.
