During the pandemic the company has released a lot of people. After the lock-down period was over, the volume of work has increased sharply but the amount of available people is still lagging behind. Couple this with the supply chain problems and mismanagement and the end result is a stressful workplace.

Stable employment and steady salaries. Employees are celebrating their 45th work anniversaries left and right. Do you job and you will always have a job. Restructuring happens, however rarely. The intellectual property owned by the plant ensures that Flowserve isn't going away for a long, long time.

Minpunten

Old school corporate culture. Resistance to WFH without a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ), in the name of "company culture." Unpredictable jerking between calling back to the office and WFH allowance. Sometimes WFH double standard intra-department without a solid justification.

Difficulty working in silos across facilities due to systems being different and not integrated into common system upon mergers.
