Alot of the managers really don't know how to lead or manage or hire the right people. During busy season you are expected to work 60-80 hours per week. For the non-client facing roles, it is even worse: you are also overworked and undervalued. These departments are barely even seen as part of the team or that they make a difference to the company. They are "overhead."
