No work life balance Upper management overlooks under performing employees for fear of losing people and yet treats overworked junior employees as if they are lacking, simultaneously provides them no opportunity or agency to grow Management does not invest any time or interest in the growth of talent Barriers are crossed with no regard: fetching printouts, your time will not be valued and you will be spoken down to daily; managers have no management training and treat direct reports poorly and unprofessionally For the first five months of the year your time off will be restricted, regardless of the purpose (someone was denied one Friday off and weekend out of NY so they could watch their brothers graduation) Your salary will be on the low end of the national average for this industry There is a very negative atmosphere at Gotham that is rooted in peoples dissatisfaction with continued disrespect from middle management who on the whole, rarely understand the projects and yet cannot allow the overly capable reports manage. Instead you will be micromanaged and your opinion disregarded, until you finally learn to stop thinking and just push buttons all day.
