Minpunten
Internship experience highlighted significant inconsistency in supervision and communication. Working hours and break times were initially communicated as flexible (including being told it was fine to leave at 5pm if tasks were done and to follow the team’s general timing). However, close to the end of the internship, expectations suddenly shifted to stricter hours (8:30am–5:30pm with shorter breaks), and I was singled out as the only intern “coming late and leaving early,” which did not reflect the earlier instructions given.
The abrupt change in standards and lack of clear, consistent guidance created unnecessary tension and made the environment feel unfair. Future interns would benefit from supervisors aligning expectations from day one and applying them consistently across the team.
