The best reason to work here is to lose yourself in a full time ironic tragedy. Genesys Works Houston’s Season 17 of “The Office” is being directed by a disconnected, self-proclaimed best boss trying to convince corporate partners that leadership presides over a happy, well-run office. Meanwhile, student-facing staff are responsible for selling well-packaged empty dreams to high school interns. Assimilation training, demeaning work experiences, and manipulative relationships can be expected for most people of color, including students and staff. As long as you can Dwight your way to the top Willingly, Openly, Respectfully and Kindly, positions seem to open up for Wypipo to become Assistant to the Regional Manager. Coincidentally White I should say... “Ah, humor. I have it too.” –Dwight
Minpunten
The biggest downside of The Office is the foundational fabrication of “putting students first”. This Michael Scott prioritizes cooperate partners and donors regardless of how many students are sent to the warehouse. Please feel free to ask how they support their #FutureWorkforce after high school. Simply put, GWH claims to serve underserved communities but specializes in promoting overpriced, recycled White Savior Complex. Due to leadership oppressing and neglecting staff, ATLEAST 6 STAFF OF COLOR HAVE BEEN FORCED OUT OF THE ORGANIZATION SINCE JANUARY! If selling paper dreams to trusting teens isn’t enough of a con, you can definitely rely on making less than adequate pay to work overtime without support. For less than $38,000 a year, you can attend Scott’s Tots and Diversity Day.. every day!
