The pay was not great

Small bonuses after your first 30 days in part of contests (which only 3 stores in the company ever win), commission bonus (albeit low) on sales, laid-back atmosphere, and health insurance.

Wages are EXTREMELY low for the job title. They offer $9/hr and give you a $0.50 raise within 6 months which they claim is 'saying something.' When learning, they have what they call a 'damage board' that they loom over you. There is a common joke the manager likes to play on the new people, that they remove money from your bonus if you damage parts. When parts on devices are damaged, the manager likes to lie to customers about what happened and attempt to extract more money from them to pay for the part. Training is non-existent, you are thrown into the back room with little to no knowledge of what to do, and told to pick apart 'rep devices' with no guidance. The biggest turn off for this company though would have to be their EXPECTATION of you to work off the clock. They even joke and tell employees to work off the clock to get ahead in the company. If offered salary, it's recommended to not accept it, as they treat you AS EXEMPT and want you to work 55+ hours a week to keep your salary position.
