I've really enjoyed my time at GTA so far. Despite having 600+ employees spread across 29 offices, the company actively works to maintain the feel of a small business. The overall vibe is phenomenally positive and leadership is genuinely accessible. The company president is the most down-to-earth guy you’ll ever meet and he regularly visits the offices to check in and understand what each team needs. We also get regular in-person visits from the Safety Team and the Learning and Talent Development people just to sit down and talk, offer support, and get feedback from us. To me, what stands out the most about GTA is their commitment to professional development. The company provides excellent support for career advancement and genuinely rewards hard work and initiative. There are multiple shareholding vice presidents at the company that started out as entry level field techs and worked their way up. At least in my office, the work environment is competent and professional, but relaxed and positive. I look forward to coming to work each day. I came in at the senior project manager level, so I can't speak to compensation for entry-level positions, but my compensation and benefits are extremely competitive. They absolutely recognize and reward effort. If you're looking for a privately held geotechnical and environmental consulting firm where you can build your career while working with good people in a supportive atmosphere, GTA is worth considering.

I can't really think of any. Any time there's an issue you can just bring it to your supervisor and they'll address it.
