This was hands-down, by far, the worst job of my life. Walked into a call with a group of male managers having a conversation on a sexually explicit, far from work appropriate conversation. I would be berated by customers on the phone, who were upset with GoDaddy. In training, I had a woman verbally abuse me over the phone for over an hour while a trainer listened in and just typed what to say, her guidance simply further infuriating the customer. The customer thought it was me guiding the coversation and it just escalated the verbal abuse. The trainer then also started to get angry at me because it took me more than seconds (maybe 30 seconds) to type a response, when I was trying to appease a irate and abusive customer. It was management abuse on top of customer abuse. I was yelled at by management on more than one occasion as a new hire for needing guidance on a question. Customers call in to a tech support line, expecting support on complicated issues or questions, or ones that they have not fully or clearly explained and you may need help. Customers can also get angry when you try to sell to them. As employees, you are advised to "sell on every call" and "sell customers off the phone" if they are taking too long with their questions. I was literally told on multiple occasions that support was "not your job". It is purely to sell, sell, sell. I literally almost had a heart attack working at this horrific job it was so bad; I'd wake up filled with dread. You have to have a 96% availability rate, and in between times when the computer would freeze up or systems would freeze, and trying to take detailed call notes, there were several occasions that I could not even get up to go to the bathroom. I would have to hold going to the bathroom for hours. I felt like property at this job, not a human being. I have worked corporate jobs before and nothing was ever, ever, ever ANYTHING like this. It was beyond horrible. Do not do this job. I was treated like cattle, not a human being. On top of this, the pay was laughably low and fractional compared to my prior income.

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
