Work-Life balance : In most of the projects there is very less work. No body works more than 4 hrs a day in here. If you belong to the same town this is perfect for you, as one get plenty of time here. Good People : People in HCL are comparatively relaxed and good because of the previous reason. Onsite : One can get onsite opportunities and that earns very good. HR and Managers : They listen to your concerns and easy to approach. Job Security : Somewhat fine , They wont through you out untill you are in manual testing, pure support profile, completely useless or company is in crisis.

Salary : It sucks .. they dont want to pay. Even top performers get 5% hike here. No system of salary hike. One or another stupid policy on that. Learning : Forget that... No learning at all. Most of the projects are of support. All you learn is incident management, excel, report preparation, select update queries in sql and code fix if it is development or maintenance project. Growth : You definitely grow by designation in two or three years. But that doesnt impact your salary. An associate PM might be there on a payscale less than of a SE. Not kidding ..It is true . They dont have any policy or standard for that. HR Policies : They introduce new policies each day to trouble employees. nothing in favor of employees. Upper Management : As the salary is very low here. Upper management is also paid very less. They are real thief of company. Their kids use internet usb modems which is actually for oncall support during late hours ( And for that employee are asked to come late and stay late). Forget bonus, Diwali : The company seems to be in poverty, They dont pay any bonus on any occasion. Not even a sweet pack on diwali. All celebrations are done within the teams by contribution of employees. Insecurity : As there is no work, You are insecure for lifetime. Here Project Managers can be replaced by 2 Year exp SW engineers . Rest assured.. your PM might be competing with you. Stupidity : This org is top in that. Sometimes they hire freshers and send them on training and some others they are directly deployed to projects. This is the first company that offers less pay to freshers than they offered last year. Sometimes your CTC is cut off because u r moved to a support project. All they talk about is transparency, employee friendly but that is all in air. You may find some senior managers praising and defending all this because they are left with no option....
