Pluspunten
Tough to think of any for the present day situation. HackerRank was a great idea, and used to be a very mission-driven company, which made it a really special place to work.. So maybe that counts for something.
Minpunten
The bottom line is that many who built the company and helped it become the high-momentum startup it once was are now gone. High-profile hires, A-players, and those who were truly dedicated to the mission of the company have also left. What they've been replaced with are less-than-inspiring "leaders" who don't understand or care about the mission, can't build functional teams, and seem to be more interested in hiding in conference rooms fighting political battles than driving the company forward. It is not a fun place to work by any stretch. There are a lot more better employment opportunities out there-- from a salary, culture, working environment, upward mobility and product traction standpoint. If you are looking for that fast-paced, growing, exciting company where you will have a great learning opportunity then HackerRank probably isn't the place for you. The company's ceiling is low and getting lower with each bad hire and key team member departure.
