Pluspunten
- a lot of work, a lot of areas to learn & improve - great learning package, they encourage to take time to learn things and both understand the business, or get outside training - flexible working hours, respect for your non-work hours: nobody will bother you on the weekends or evenings. You can take a few hours off in a day for personal stuff, as long as you do your job - high impact of everything you do on millions of people. high responsibility for high impact - the work is interesting & challenging, you will never get bored.
Minpunten
- the company grew faster than they realized which means that there is absolutely no time to think and reflect, you just push out features - some stakeholders are very disrespectful to younger employees - poorly defined responsibilities. because there is a lot of stuff to do, many people don't want to do it (or have just no more capacity) so several areas aren't owned by anyone. You either end up owning them yourself, or you don't do it, and then lots of information is lost. generally very disorganized and poorly managed responsibilities - we were told that it takes at least 2 years to go from junior to mid level position, and 3 years to go from mid to senior. thus, no real opportunity to grow within the company, given that the average tenure is about 15 months. - high turnover (see above) so people don't really know what's going on - salary & vacation non-comparable with other Berlin startups, especially given that the work is much more demanding than in other places
