Never expect credit or a simple thank you. Nobody cares if you are doing the right thing in favor of the company, instead higher management is only interested in company politics and power games. 3 c-level change in 6 months is a result of these games. Mid management cares only whats in it for them. They just care about survival, couldn't count the number of directors fired or resigned. All pressure is on category management AKA sales, where all other departments act as slavery support however they know nothing but pumping banners and pop-ups on the site. Data is used to skew numbers not for analytical decision making. Hyper low margins put the company in a very risky and stressful situation. It's a sinking boat and everybody knows that. Management is in process of selling this miserable company and will have the feast with survivors if there are left any. "Business" thinks event management is HR, mobbing is management and call center is customer experience. They call this transformation, however it's unclear what they are transforming from and to. Technology investments and good culture happenning just a few years back is far gone now. It was very sad to see it vanish. Overall, expect nothing for your career and your hard work. You will be dismissed nicely when your best before date comes.
