CEO doesn't trust anyone, thinks he is the smartest person in the room, egomaniacal (even though he has no background/knowledge of real estate and last startup went bankrupt). Laughable "tech platform" - no fault of engineers, CEO refuses to compensate people properly, hired all junior people to do senior roles. No scalable processes. Policies change every single day and are only communicated via Slack. Very cliquey culture, especially at HQ in SF. Remote markets have no support, yet unreasonable goals. Lots of bait and switch ads and marketing. Zero strategy for lead generation (everything is Craigslist or fake ILS listings). Not willing to spend money on necessary resources. CEO tells managers to lie to owners/developers of new building prospects. And five people quit in less than a month (not a coincidence).
