Pluspunten

The people here, divorced from their job roles, are generally nice. The department managers are the best - they work the hardest and motivate us to go forward each and every day. Like us are not listened to nor respected.

Minpunten

I will put my review in the "Advice to Management" subheading. For the "Cons" subheading, I will give a general warning to anyone who reads HomeStars's Glassdoor page. When you take the time to read any of the reviews people have left for HomeStars (HS), remember that we're a review-based platform. We tell our customers to request and respond to reviews, and we in turn as a company value online reputation. As you have or will notice, HomeStars will respond to negative reviews in a way that will either put blame on the specific employee or insist that they're looking into ways to improving even when they are not. The opposite side of the argument could be that negative reviews come from scorned ex-employees and should be discounted as well. However, being at this organization for some time, I can tell you there is at least a nugget of truth in each negative review.

Pluspunten

Work from home, so you make your own hours. Show up for phone meetings and you're all good. Easy enough to sell, and once sold, you don't have to give service to customers, that is handled by someone else.

Minpunten

The only good review for this company on this site was CLEARLY written by a specific person on the management team (I guess he works here too, but yuk- a review company faking reviews is a bit of a joke.). They keep announcing "new plans". It's framed as evolution and growth. In actuality, it's a company that keeps changing the gameplay instead of editing the roster. The management is completely ineffective and a few of them have personal boundary issues. Fellow employees have no idea what is going on and how the site works.
