Pluspunten

When i started working at ICE in Aug of 2013, I was looking for a job where I could learn sales. Sales is the lifeline to every business. I learned so much more. I learned how to manage my time more effectively, how to communicate with all different types of people, how to write goals and follow through on them. I developed so much confidence and invaluable work ethic.

Minpunten

North East Ohio has unpredictable weather. We're going to the field to meet with customers everyday. It'cold. You'll need to learn to be prepared for the weather. Some customers will be mean, you'll be trained to handle rejection but you need to learn how to keep your attitude. As you progress, you'll be responsible for training and developing people. It's time consuming, but you need to learn it to grow in the business.

Pluspunten

A great team atmosphere. The management is very supportive and they will push you to do your best. Great opportunities to advance your career. A clear path to do so as well. The speed at which you get promoted depends on how hard you work.

Minpunten

The work will kick your butt! If you're lazy then you might not like this job. You will be pounding the pavement to make your personal goals.

Pluspunten

None, besides maybe whatever having another job listed on your resume would do.

Minpunten

I would second the other negative review word for word. Everything he or she wrote was spot-on. The building this company is in, the look of the actual lobby, offices, and insistence on "business professional" attire is all a front for what you are actually hired to do: go door to door trying to sell people a different type of service that they already have. Your average day begins with putting on a suit, going into the office, taking off your suit, and putting on a shirt with the logo of whatever service provider you're going to be representing that day. You drive to a location and then walk door to door, ringing the bell and reciting a sales pitch over and over again to people who do not want to have anything to do with you. You're coached on when to make eye contact, when to look away, when to act like you're writing something, etc. It's all so phony and you constantly feel like you're taking advantage of people. Many customers want nothing to do with you, insult you, and essentially make you feel sub-human because you're essentially interrupting their time at home with their families. If you have any respect for privacy and not selling people services they already have, you'll lose a little bit of yourself with every house.
