ICF’s growth model seems to focus more on acquiring profitable companies and milking their profits than focusing on streamlining their own internal processes, and because they are publicly owned, there is an inherent push to drive up shareholder value. The timekeeping software is a nightmare. I have repeatedly gotten the vibe from people more central to ICF as a corporation that they resent remote employees. Compensation adjustments are determined by an external team, rather than anyone who actually knows what you do or how hard you do (or don’t) work. PTO offering is quite poor compared to other tech employers. ICF also doesn’t do anything to work on group cohesion, and pinches pennies very hard for any sort of team building exercises.
