Micromanagement is rampant, modern management methods and long-term planning are virtually non-existent. Senior management has mostly been recruited from good financiers, not good leaders; this shows. Worst of all, upper management, most of whom have been with the company for 15+ years, exist in a vacuum and show no interest in modern approaches and resources that other companies now happily utilize.
