      Lack of staffing/human resources to meet objectives, which generates intense pressure on the teams (risk of burnout and decreased overall satisfaction, sometimes evident in internal feedback). Top-down management culture that does not always foster transparency or the reporting of concerns. Heavy bureaucracy that sometimes overrides business common sense. Disconnect between internal communication/management slogans and the daily reality of operational teams (particularly regarding the perceived stability of the teams).

      Verisk is a great, stable company that has been very focused on change and creating diversity and inclusion. On the corporate level, they are really trying to develop and retain talent.

      Minpunten

      My Department management was toxic and hostile. They micromanaged, changed their minds and direction without telling you, made incorrect assumptions and then blamed you when something went wrong and took credit when something went right. They routinely lied to staff about career opportunities and promoted people that didn’t even come close to deserving it. Good staff always left while the bad ones stayed. The harder you work, the more they tried to break your spirit. It sent me into a terrible depression. Senior management is still trying to manage the way they did 30 years ago. It doesn’t work! It wasn’t until I left and went to a place that valued me and my experience, that I realized how undervalued I was.
