Pluspunten
Free Friday breakfast and parking on sight. Christmas time off.
That’s all I could list due to my employment being so short at this place
Minpunten
I was discriminated from day 1, minimal training provided which resulted in my performance supposedly not being good enough. Discriminated because of my previous job roles and again, discriminated for being a male - everyone on my floor was female and I was churned out and replaced by 2 women, 1 of which also had 0 experience in admin in fostering but was of course a member of a family who did foster. Never given an opportunity to progress and when I asked it was the most unwelcome response I’ve ever had in a job role. I wasn’t told I was underperforming until I was told I was being sacked and the reason would be due to me failing a probation, which simply was untrue and just a reason to end my employment.
At the time, PICS overlooked 4 fostering agencies and I was told to always try and allocate potential foster carers to ISP over the other 3 fostering agencies where possible. The lower/middle staff were fantastic, but senior management are an embarrassment. Maybe review your opening/closing times at Christmas, it got extremely busy when I was there and you blamed it on “drunken people feeling sorry for children who need fostering” - really professional guys!
Oh, and 1 more point - don’t talk about sensitive subjects about family members in the office. It’s totally rude. If this happened in a male dominated environment it would be wrong, so it shouldn’t be right when it’s the opppsite. I am talking about daughters being involved in acts and you were really proud about it. I tried to discuss with HR where I was told to pretend I never heard it. Disgusting.
