I have been here for more than 5 years and feel blessed to be here. Mgmt invested in good QA practices and some tools, and company has undergone many process changes. It is feeling of happiness that we have come a long way even with 2 mergers after i joined. Unlike some reviews , mangers & colleagues are cooperative. it feels to be like in college - No particular Dress code too. Managers understand the pain of travelling from far and have given a lot of flexibility on the timing. In which company can you come at 11/12 AM , still get to laugh with your manger - of course provided on time deliverable's are met. The QA VP has a good vision for the team and comes to India to often meet the team & share it. Company is developing advanced products that are really having great scope to sell. Some of the managers have specialized in various modules being at GTnexus for a long time - not many know unless you talk to them. From my personal experience, I have learnt a lot when I hit a conversation with my manager on technology. They are hands on in the past through which they carry a lot of information. The management often try the best to hire the good people. So we end up having a great team. I think the environment is good, so there are hardly any people who leave the company. As they say.. People leave managers not company. Colleagues are very supportive too & that is important for me. We get to see a lot of team work with minimal/no politics. There's a lot of work pressure for past 2 years - Can be a Cons item too.

For past 2 years, the Appraisal system for pay is too systematic like a service based company. The managers are either helpless or have deff ears to bargain against increments/raises. For people with good salary the % works, but for beginners it is not great.. Some managers pester & execute test cases and then pester to fix up the problems that are small problem ( no big problems) - so request mangers to please NOT micro manage us. Mangers should have belief that their team will get it done for them. They should challenge us when we fail. Lot of work pressure. There is recognition if you take up parallel items and work on them. This can become tough at times. Mgmt gives some awards sometimes for recognizing people. Some people/teams are forgotten to be given and later handed over offline. These small things should be taken care. There seems to be too much flexibility in the office timings, it sometimes really becomes difficult to handover the work to your colleague if the overlapping time is just half day. The person who comes late does not get to do any team work. allowing Flexibility is great but should make sure flexibilty is not abused. The number of leaves are very less per year. the leave policy is not great.
