Lots of customer contact, usually phone based Generally good training Perform a public service, which can be rewarding

Minpunten

Pay is mediocre to poor Degree of nepotism/ favouritism, behavioural problems are not well managed. Certain staff appeared to get away actions that were embarrassing to the department and/or would get themselves out of trouble.

Pluspunten

They provided ample opportunity for career development and training. Flex time is the best! The co-workers were motivated and doing their best to do a difficult job.

Minpunten

Sometimes a bit of a cubicle atmosphere (although that is changing) and tax might not be everybody's cup of team. You aren't the life of the party when you tell people you work for a tax administration.
