There are some genuinely lovely and excellent people on the team. The work can be interesting and challenging. There is room for growth, although progress can be very slow.
Minpunten
I was responsible for the workload of two people, which led to *severe* burnout. Significant salary disparities (over $10k) exist between colleagues, and I was explicitly told not to discuss my pay with others [HR should acknowledge National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Pay Transparency Executive Order 13665, Equality Act 2010 etc.] Poor work-life balance; there’s an unwritten expectation to work outside regular hours. In CS, you'll earn a lot less than employees in other teams who handle less stressful and/or lower volumes of work (by their admission).
