Pluspunten
Lots of friendly, talented people working here. Smaller hospital with more focus on patient care, happier patients overall.
Minpunten
Consistently understaffed, particularly on night shift. Managers couldn't figure out why they couldn't get anyone to work nights in our department -- maybe because it's too much work for one person to do without completely burning out? Made a big show of holding meetings every year to talk about engagement surveys and suggestions for improvement, but nothing ever changed. Lots of favoritism. Supervisors who spend all day chatting instead of actually working. Lots of people like to sit around and play on the internet ask day instead of actually working. Some of these people try to get as many hours as possible because they like the money, but they aren't actually helping the department at all. Managers like these people because they are willing to cover shifts that others won't, and turn a blind eye to their blatant laziness. Laughable nonprofit. Workers are underpaid and forced to work in cramped environments while CEO rakes in millions. Bought sunflowers for everyone after laying off a bunch of staff. Lots of focus on expanding as much as possible while morale and quality suffers in already established units. PRNs haven't had a raise in more than a decade, with no pay difference based on experience -- a PRN with 5 years of experience makes less money than a new grad.
