Founders are still there since starting the company fresh out of college. They haven’t benefited from the leadership growth and perspective gained when you get out of your comfort zone and get external experience and constructive feedback from peers that aren’t worried about how you’ll retaliate. Unfortunately this means the founders still there run the company on their whims and the whims of what incredibly demanding clients ask for, even if it’s not part of the strategy or in the budget. I often saw finance having to play financial shuffle and catch up based on leaders making impulsive demands. Never knew what to expect with future planning because you couldn’t rely on what the leaders forecasted. So much time and money must have been wasted pleasing Intapp’s leaders over 24 years.
