Pluspunten
IDI is a small growing company and so there is a demanding workload. However, those who can keep up and are flexible to the company's needs are recognised and rewarded.
The structure is quite flat, with only directors, managers and everyone else, so there is not the traditional hierarchical structures. Opportunities to take on new responsibilities and be involved in additional projects allowed me to develop new skills and knowledge to add to enrich my CV. The company are known for taking on young graduates, building up their skills to enable them to move on to bigger and better things. The company suits staff that are self-starters, who take initiative and fit with the company competencies ie working well as a team.
The company directors are transparent about their strategy and also company goals, such as not meeting targets. Unfortunately, failure to meet recruitment targets does impact on all members of staff and the company's ability to provide salary increases but, for example, they have given extra holidays.
Minpunten
Workload is demanding and often tiring but I also think it was challenging and interesting.
There was some turn over of staff while I was there, a number of those were individuals looking to progress, rather than those who did not meet company competencies.
Although I thought it was good to have lots of young graduates to work with, I also felt that because it was sometimes their first 'real job' they had unrealistic expectations and did not appreciate what a pleasant environment it was to work in. I most definitely realise this after moving to my new job.
