benefits are good if you already use intermountain health as your healthcare provider. management is a hit or miss depending on what shift you work, what manager is over what shift, and what department you're working in for that shift.

Minpunten

pay is comparable to other housekeeping jobs, but not enough to live on. my site had to fire a bunch of people for reasons i'm only kind of privy to, and weren't able to hire people to fill the roles so made it everyone else's problem, with double points for calling out for months and severe short staffing making everything worse.

While the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain Health is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. Additionally, we regularly review compensation each year to stay aligned with market trends and geographic considerations. Pluspunten

There are many mission-driven caregivers who genuinely care about patients and want to provide high-quality behavioral health support. I appreciated the opportunity to work in an area connected to telehealth, crisis response, and access to care. The work itself can be meaningful, and I believe many employees are trying to do the right thing for patients and communities.

Minpunten

In my experience, the department culture was not psychologically safe. Feedback and performance concerns were not handled in a way that was clear, consistent, or supportive. I left feeling that the performance process was more punitive than developmental, and I did not feel meaningfully supported by leadership or HR during a difficult employment transition. The experience affected my emotional well-being and made me much more cautious about workplace culture and management practices.
