About 3 weeks of PTO to start is unheard of! I am not well-paid for the work I do & the level of responsibility I have, but the benefits are good and the newbie PTO is fantastic.

Minpunten

Some level of company politics are at play here, but its avoidable if you have the personality to keep out of it. The path for growth within is very narrow. It can be done, but you'll need to follow a very specific path to make it happen.

Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
