Pluspunten
Good benefits, good pay - if you don't get laid off. There are some good managers here, but they are few and far between. The corporate management is generally just clueless about what goes on in their company.
Minpunten
Communication is awful, as is the technology for a "cutting edge" company. Lay offs are determined solely by favoritism, not performance, years of service, or salary. I could name examples to prove it, but would give away my identity. I have been in a sales position for 2 years now without ever having had training in the "Jacobs Method" for my position. I've pleaded for training from multiple sources, and no one takes the time to teach us what they want us to do, yet we get in trouble if we don't follow this mysterious "process." They do NOT know how to deal with groups or employees who fall outside their set little job descriptions, and don't want to bother to try. "People are our greatest asset?" Then why did my friend only get recognition and any kind of attention when she decided to quit, after months of writing promotion proposals to her boss and asking for help?? Overall, the company cares much more about its Wall Street performance than anything else. If you want proof, look at the market history compared with the layoff history. Stock falls by $1? You can bet people are getting laid off. They say there is a lot of opportunity for advancement in inside sales, but I haven't heard of anyone getting promoted in the last 2 years. Oh, and by the way? There is NO SALES DATABASE. At least not that all sales people have access to. Most of the info is incorrect or out of date anyway.
