Pluspunten
Jacobs is a strong company with good systems, people, and benefits. While they try to treat their contractors with respect, too often their terms are dictated by the contracts they negotiate. Which means, the employee always gets the short straw.
Minpunten
It is body shop and if you are a contractor, you are nothing other than a temporary employee. However, Jacobs benefits packages are geared to the idea that you will become a long term employee, and awards things like vacation and 401k as if you're going to be there for the long term. I'm on a government contract and as such, the terms are very limited - for instance we have no personal or sick days - only personal vacation. I worked in Boston, we had 5 snow days in two weeks - that pretty much blew whatever time off I had accumulated. As a contractor, you're just a warm body.... if you can't live with that - better to find a real job.
