Our CEO has been an extraordinary leader, guiding the organization with a clear strategic vision, transparency, and a deep sense of responsibility. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to honesty, equality, and fairness. She ensured that every decision was made with the utmost respect for all stakeholders, fostering an inclusive environment where every voice was valued, and everyone had a seat at the table. Under her exceptional leadership, the organization has been built on a strong foundation across all areas of operations. Her focus on robust governance, financial stewardship, and operational excellence has positioned us to thrive, even through challenges. Thanks to her diligent leadership, we have consistently excelled in funders' capacity and financial audits, securing confidence in our sustainability and accountability. Her transparent communication style has been a hallmark of her leadership. By promoting openness and building trust both internally and externally, she cultivated strong, meaningful relationships with staff, partners, and stakeholders alike. This commitment to transparency has not only kept us aligned and informed but has also elevated our standing with external collaborators. Her human-centered approach to leadership is perhaps one of her most defining qualities. She consistently led with empathy, always mindful of the well-being of her team and the communities we serve. Her departure marks the end of an incredible chapter for the organization, and her absence will be deeply felt. However, we know that the board and staff at her new organization are incredibly fortunate to have her. They have no idea just how lucky they are to gain such an exceptional leader. We are immensely grateful for the legacy of strong leadership, integrity, and inclusion that she leaves behind. Her influence will continue to guide us, even in her absence. The current board needs significant changes to better support the organization’s growth and sustainability. The board has become stagnant; there is a lack of initiative in fundraising, which has left the organization vulnerable. Additionally, the strong presence of judiciary members on the board, while once valuable, is now impeding progress. A shift is necessary—judiciary members need to step down, allowing for fresh perspectives and a more engaged, proactive board that is fully committed to the organization’s future success.
