The lack of direction from leadership creates an environment where you never really know what you're working towards. A large part of the camaraderie is teammates trying to stay positive in the face of overwhelming tech debt that can never be resolved that constantly rears its head, because there's just so many competing priorities and there's never enough time to ensure releases are properly tested. This debt also lead to grueling on call rotations. By the end of my time there, I was so burnt out I was happy to be let go.
