Pluspunten

Good salary and great benefits. Many of the people who are left are nice people. The company used to ge a great place to work.

Minpunten

Poor management; No vision; No leadership; No opportunity: no corporate desire to succeed; Lack of ethics. The company took 8.5 years of my life. I worked hard for them and was very successful. I had profound results with my customers, generated a lot of internal value for my department, communicated well with management and coworkers and gave everything I had for my company. I was rated as a top 10% employee for 4 years in a row. I received numerous awards and recognition from management. I had three promotions that were suspended due to "restructuring" and was given no chance to advance my career. After working with an upper management group that was completely inept and had no vision whatsoever I found a career opportunity that has helped me move much more rapidly in my field. I learned at Liberty 1) when a company doesn't communicate a vision of greatness, you need to run like hell 2) if management seems not to know what they are doing... they don't and 3) hypocrisy can actually become a corporate value.

Minpunten

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
