They hire depending on the plant what the main language is spoken so it can be good for those of similar background. So if you don't fit in with that then you are not given much of a chance. Chances for advancing is half and half. In the office, definitely not. In the floor, sometimes. Work life balance does not exist in this company as they expect people to work 6 days a wk with long hours or on summer hot days, in the plant, you are offered a chance to go home early but you will have to make up the hours on the weekend and be forced to take a vacation day for leaving early. For employees who are full time you are forced to do quarterly reviews which is a nightmare for mngt, and for employees and can be a waste of time.
