Pluspunten
I was with Lyondell/Lyondell Petrochemical/LyondellBasell for 30+ years. I felt as though I was compensated reasonably compared to the industry. The benefits package(changed in recent years) have allowed co-workers to retire in relative comfort. While training wasn't always in the budget, learning from persons at other sites who perform the same/similar task was always encouraged. Time out of plant was allowed for that purpose. Flexibility was welcomed where finding other roles inside the company if a person possessed the tools to learn a new position. I was put into a couple of jobs during my career where I had no experience but had a lot of help learning on the run.
Minpunten
That training thing has always been a problem where non-engineers are concerned. It's a problem for every company in the petrochem industry.
