Pluspunten
LYB is a solid company that rarely fires people and almost never has layoffs. The benefits are great and they still offer a pension. Depending on what you think remote work should look like, I would say it’s fair. 2-3 remote days per week. Depending on the division and management, work life balance can be good. Pay starts good but raises and promotions are usually limited to annual merit increases. Bonuses are also decent depending on the companies financial performance.
Minpunten
APS, the compounding division of LYB is now in its 3rd year since being created via acquisition of A Schulman. The integration has been a total disaster. Turnover is extremely high and seems to be getting worse. This division has a lot potential, but the current leadership and environment is deplorable. They lack vision and empathy. For certain positions in this division, the workload can be overwhelming. Some Account Specialists have been working 60+ hours a week. Supervisors have canned bureaucratic response to any criticism and seem to be more concerned with staying employed than actually making improvements. They are trying to be more inclusive but a quick look at leadership shows they have a long way to go. I would stay away from APS but not other divisions.
