Feels like a cult. Those who are different, ask questions or don't agree with everything management say are made to feel they don't belong. I was actually told by my line manager not to challenge anything and just say 'yes' to whatever was asked - that way I would be perceived more positively by senior management. Unbelievably, she also informed the team that she had selected a particular new hire, not because he had the best experience or skills, but because it helped with the diversity stats. Sadly, he didn't last very long in the business. Lots of talk about diversity, but doesn't happen in practice. Opportunities for those who fit the mould (young, social, agreeable).
