Why change samaya’s name. Is Methode corporate ashamed of having an Arabic name to their entity. The company started 10 years ago and now is a contender among the other Methode entities globally mainly due to the hard work of its employees and loyalty to the Samaya brand, which is an integral part their own identities. Methode is now stripping away the identity from those employees after all these years, in the name of change and rebranding or because someone is planning to re-incorporate the company into a different entity to either sell it or dissolve it. Discrimination against Arabic culture and toward the Egyptian people is obvious. By changing the name from Arabic to whatever, it is crystal clear that Methode is ashamed of having an Arabic branded identity, and feel embarrassed by being affiliated with Arabic culture, despite the fact they have other brands under the Methode Group, where they kept their original identities and did not rebrand such as (Hetronic, Grakon, Pacific Insight, Dabir, Procoplast, and touchsensor). Again, why Samaya only? It took time to build Samaya’s reputation as a business and gain name recognition from the customer base. Due to this, changing the name will confuse the existing customers and undo the progress the employees made throughout the years, what will cause demotivation and uncertainty toward the company’s management who is obviously striving to destroy Samaya and humiliate its employees in the past couple of months. The message is clear, ten years back, Methode did not want to be affiliated with its entity in Egypt as an American company, now is changing from its Arabic identity back to American in an unprecedented and discriminative ways.

I've been working for Methode for 15 years now, it was my first job and I never left! Methode helped me shape my career in various ways. I learned a lot everyday working with different teams both locally and globally, giving me different experiences that might not be so easy find elsewhere. Methode has many hubs across the globe but despite the distance, we always manage to come together and work as one, making tasks easier and the success greater!

I've seen the company at it's best and lowest times. As one can imagine we encountered various issues throughout the years, from price increases to global emergencies like Covid and we've had our fair share of ups and downs. But 1 thing always remained - determination to come out stronger!
