Pluspunten
-The owners for the most part are friendly and they do offer several opportunities to grow within the company. That being said, the level of growth is minimal and can sometimes hardly even be considered that. -Due to it being such a small company, there definitely was an opportunity to make both professional and personal relationships with fellow employees. -The opportunity to learn is always present. Questions typically get answered one way or another and new challenges always arrive. -The social environment is extremely relaxed. -Hours were flexible. -The owners are pretty understanding about taking unpaid time off and will hardly question why. -Jokes, singing, whistling and light-hearted pranks are welcome throughout the office.
Minpunten
-The actual working environment is pretty poor. Broken chairs, broken/missing tools, slow computers that were previously e-wasted, cables and clutter everywhere, etc. -"Benefits" are a joke. Overpriced healthcare that hardly covers anything. Trying to get paid time off, even after a year, is a harder task than it should be partly due to the fact that earned vacation time is never tracked. -Daily tasks are rarely portioned out fairly between the other employees. -Occasional sales calls are uncomfortable to make due to outlandish quotes on new/used systems and hardware. Some charges on software are also unnecessarily high and some customers will even call you out on the high mark up. -Ideas/solutions mentioned in meetings usually fall through within a a matter of days, if not immediately. -Overall documentation is poor, leading to delays in completion of repairs and/or awkward conversations with coworkers/customers.
