Full disclosure, I ran a successful consulting company and was contracted by Micro-Tech (for a monthly retainer) to help build out its GPO/IDN portfolio. Once they saw learned I had extensive GI sales and management experience, they gave me more and more to do ...including running the West coast sales operation and joining the senior sales management team. During my consulting career, I had the opportunity to work with dozens of healthcare companies on a retainer basis and never once considered joining any of these F/T...until Micro-Tech. Their innovative product portfolio and personnel comraderie soon won me over and I joined as a f/t employee where I have been for the past 4 years.

Sales Management was severely lacking until recently. This undoubtedly lead to a number of good people walking away. All negative reviews of the sales management culture up until March are understandable. Micro-Tech is now laser focused on rebuilding this trust and removing departmental "silos" to create an organization that will over the next 3-5 years be a leader in the GI category.
