Pluspunten
At this point it's very hard to list any that aren't overshadowed by the cons. The snacks in the kitchen don't hurt and lunch three times a week doesn't hurt.
Minpunten
Last quarter's earnings pretty much say it all. Before I was ultimately terminated 1) my manager quit 2) my manager's manager quit and 3) my manager's -manager's- manager quit (C-level). Shortly after that, another C- level quit. This is a company with about 6,000 employees globally... When senior management and C levels abort... there's a reason. Toxic culture while attempting to perpetuate "core values" that senior leadership does not exemplify is a joke not lost on every employee. My team was reorged twice before 20% were fired. The toxicity that I speak of was not just internal to my team and org- I had amazing relationships with many individuals on multiple different teams. It is a cancer that has spread through the organization. Annual reviews prompt managers to place direct reports into one of three buckets to consider promotion: 1. does not meet expectations 2. meets expectations 3. exceeds expectations. I was told by senior leadership as well as coached to relay to my direct reports that 90% plus of all employees fall into the "meets expectations bucket" and as such, does not correlate to a promotion. Promotions happen for those cherry-picked individual few. Good luck to this company... the smart, hard-working, talented young people you've hired and are trying to retain with nothing in return will simply go elsewhere ...because we can.
