This is no longer that innovative, exciting, positive energetic “start up company” that it used to be. There has been A LOT of exceptionally talented people who have left in the last 2 years and a lot of talented people that were laid off..
Not sure where this company is headed....but for me it was no longer a tolerable or stable work environment and it was a relief when I left.
At Montana Instruments, I witnessed, racism towards the Asian culture, feeling of pressure around not being a conservative, and certainly some sexism towards the very few women that work there. There was more than a few lay offs, cuts to team pay which was a nice chunk of my income, constant pressure and concerns about the finances, and a new negative executive team that was intolerable. The fellow employees I had were really great people to work with but it has turned into a “keep your head down” and protect your job kind of environment. From what I’ve heard they can no longer even afford to provide coffee for the employees.... not sure what that means but I always loved the good coffee we had there!
