-Not sure if i can really say anything positive
Minpunten
-Higher ups constantly flip flop on decisions. -due to inefficient hierarchy, there is a 48hr wait on confirmations and because we have to consult departments who are not experts but are somehow making the major decisions. -they don't care about you and your performance is linked to their bad decisions. so good luck with your yearly reviews. For starters, every time we start project, we stipulate how many designs max, if not, we will blow past the budget. despite our best efforts, we blew past the budget anyway==. Higher ups wanting to change things that they themselves have confirmed over a month ago doesn't help ease the project deadline issues. The higher ups are the ones who asked for a 48HR turn around time for their decisions, However, they have been plenty of occasions where they didn't adhere to this and instead replied 96HRS later. It is no surprise we blew past our budget and deadlines so many times. The decision making process is so convoluted. it involved 4 LAYERS of the hierarchy of people who have NO IDEA about the production process and what actually looks appealling. here is an analogy... it's like asking asking an engineer to fix a problem, then ignoring him/her and going to the finance side for the decision and solution. why bother with the experts opinion then? So lack of respect for our expertise and then we are to be evaluated by these same people concerning our performance. so the the product turns out badly because of decisions not made by us, we have to answer for it. what a way to rig the system. also, they don't care about you or your skills, you are just a cog in the system. company was bought over and less than 2 years later, everyone was dropped like a sack of hot potatoes. its like an M&A prolonged over the span of 1.5 years.
